Club Fitting Process

Step One.

Equipment Analysis

Your existing clubs and set make-up presents a very clear picture of what equipment you are currently using and what improvements can be made. I will take measurements of the key specifications from your existing set of clubs. (See Blueprinted. Certified.).

Step Two.

Player Interview

I will discuss with you the game improvement areas which are most important to you. (See What to expect from a Club Fitting). The five game improvement factors are: distance, accuracy, trajectory, consistency and feel.

During this conversation, I will learn your main objectives and explain how each part of your golf set (driver, fairway woods, long irons, middle irons, short irons, wedges and putter) can be improved.

Step Three.

Player Analysis

First, I will take some static measurements including your height, wrist to floor measurement and hand size.

After you have warmed up, your swing will be recorded and will be evaluated for your strength, coordination, athletic ability, swing tempo and clubhead speed along with other information being recorded.

Step Four.

Set Make-up

Now we will discuss the initial make-up of your new set of clubs. I will recommend and explain my proposal for each section of the golf bag along with the game improvement areas you may expect to see.

As there are many different combinations of set make-up, you need to feel satisfied with my recommendation and explanations at this point. Budget considerations should be discussed at this stage along with a planned delivery date.

Step Five.

Test Club

This is where I will produce a test club for you to try to make sure you are happy with my recommendations. This test club allows you to try a club in the exact specification that will be hand-built for you so prior to purchase you have complete confidence in your decision.

Your feedback after using this test club will help to make the final decisions on each club’s specifications and set make-up.

Step Six.

Follow up

Further consultations allow you the golfer to pass on any additional feedback and considerations to get the set make-up right. At this point I will present you with my final Blueprint plan before starting your bespoke adjustments or hand-crafted custom assembly.

Upon delivery you will come back for an evaluation to determine if any adjustments are required to make sure your new clubs are just right before you play your first round. For example, when purchasing a set of irons, every club is tested for lie dynamically and adjusted as required.

This is not the end.

If you have any further feedback after you have taken delivery, I will work with you to make any adjustments to ensure the specifications of your clubs are perfectly tailored to you. Only after we both agree the club has been fully optimised is the process complete.
